B just sent these photos taken at the kid’s program, Reach for a Dream which he attended a few weekends ago. Chef taught the underprivileged kids how to make bread dough which they turned into rolls for their hot dogs.
For kids who eat pap (corn meal) every day of their lives big bowls of sweets and delicious hot dogs really are a dream come true - definitely a blog worthy event.
I’ve been living out of a suitcase for the last year. There comes a time when carrying around all your toiletries in little plastic canisters looses its appeal. When being able to walk around town without a map/translator/bodyguard is enjoyable in itself. When you can’t access your phone banking because you can’t remember what address is on file or when you have to email or call all your friends because its impossible to just go for coffee you come to the realisation that: it’s time to test the waters with – settling down.
We all have stories to tell, stories that provide wisdom about the journey of life. What more have we to give one another than our 'truth' about our human adventure as openly as we know how? - S. Rubin
